Job Description

City of Johannesburg Internship Programme 2021 is an intervention by the City of Johannesburg to address the growing demand by tertiary institution for students to undergo on-the-job exposure, as a pre-requisite to acquire an academic qualification or as a requirement after the acquisition of an academic qualification.

The City of Johannesburg (CoJ), Community Development Department has the following Internship opportunities available for a period not exceeding eighteen (18) months.

 

Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Computer literacy
  • Must be able to work extended hours as and when required
  • Ages between 18 – 35 years; and
  • Only City of Joburg residents will be considered

Business Management Support Intern
Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in:

  • Business Management
  • Public Administration
  • Monitoring and Evaluation
  • or any relevant qualifications

 

Executive Directors Office Intern
National Diploma in:

  • N6 in Office Administration
  • Candidate needing in service training towards completion of his/her studies

 

IPPR Intern
Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in:

  • Business Management
  • Business Administration
  • Public Administration
  • Monitoring and Evaluation
  • or any relevant qualifications

 

Finance Intern

  • N6 in Finance or related qualification

 

Sports and Recreation Intern

  • 3 year Social Sciences tertiary qualification, with specific  focus on Sports & Recreation

 

Facilities Enhancement Unit Intern
Degree / Diploma in:

  • Built Environment Discipline
  • Project Management

 

Arts, Culture and Heritage Intern
Qualification (NQF level 7) in:

  • History
  • Anthropology
  • Heritage
  • Social Science
  • Business Management or Public Administration
  • Development Studies
  • Public Administration

 

Public Housing Intern

  • Degree / Diploma in : Built Environment
