Job Description

The Department of Community Safety, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a competent individual to render a support function to the Chief Directorate. This post is based in Cape Town, CBD.

Remuneration: R176 310 per annum (Salary level 5)

Responsibilities

  • Provide support in the development and maintenance of an integrated safety and security information and knowledge management system;
  • Provide support in respect of Human Resource Management;
  • Institutionalise and maintain electronic security information within the Chief Directorate;
  • General support services.

 

Requirements

  • Senior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent qualification)
  • Relevant experience in an administrative environment
  • Working knowledge of the following: Macros, data quality monitoring – validation, verification and data/trend analysis;
  • A valid code B (or higher) driving license

 

Competencies

Knowledge of the following:

  • Administrative processes;
  • Public service reporting;
  • Government knowledge including information management processes and Batho Pele principles;
  • Skills in following: Proven computer literacy in MS Office packages; Written and verbal communication; Conflict resolution; Problem solving
