Location: Helderberg Hospital

Remuneration: R 173 703- R 204 612 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer’s contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).

Responsibilities



  • Accurately and timeously retrieve requested folders for the various departments and file all patient folders and other case noted
  • Make sure all medical records are protected and kept confidential.
  • Maintain an effective filing system and maintain quality and accurate records by adhering to hospital and provincial policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and repair patient folders.
  • Prepare case notes/folders for archiving for salvaging/destruction.

Requirements



  • Inherent Requirement of the job: Ability to lift heavy loads and remain on your feet for long periods. Must be able to work in confined areas.
  • Senior Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Appropriate medical records experience.Computer literacy (MS Office, Outlook and Clinicom).
  • Proficiency in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
  • Ability to work within a team and independently with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to work under pressure with a high degree of accuracy and care.
